"Potentially contaminated"

Those tailings have been there since Oct 09! Six months...!! Now I'm no expert on milling tailings (although that may chance if we keep this up) but the DOGM has known about this issue and I'd bet the farm that they've notified the EPA about it. It wouldn't be the first time they've been to the mill (I don't know the regs on EPA inspections or how often they conduct them). I hope after six months the EPA would have made a visit to the mill, IF there is a problem with the tailings.

So, here we are six months later and nothing from the EPA.

Denial, denial, denial............

Post #62575 Date: Wednesday, April 14, 2010 11:10:10 AM states "The hoop jumping continues...."

I agree with Lucky! Absolutely! However, I suspect that you may have been making reference to another post. Not a big deal.

Regardless, with all the negativity becoming further and further amplified, it is exhausting to see this as an issue also, again. While there may be some truth to the containment issues, and I certainly do not know one way or the other, I have just never seen anything supporting that illegal discharge of contaminates was a current issue.

And I have good faith in Ron Wunderlich's sense of responsibility and meeting legal compliance. Someone will have to prove to me that he is not, has not been, the man for the job. That would be evidence rather than hearsay!

Having some work exposure and responsibility for industrial hazardous waste containment over my working life, I can say that it is an ongoing monitoring and administration responsibility changing with both maintenance and reporting requirements and with possible new developments.

Clearly the management of waste product for a mining and milling operation, such as Copper King Mining, will pose on going challenges to proper land and waste management. I agree with anyone on this point.

But stating that we have a significant issue, possibly one of significant violation at this time, I must take on a position of denial until some evidence substantiates waste as a serious issue.

That's all I mean. Let's not panic over every supposition.
