Yep, back a bit, when a lady at a NY airport told me adults started
at McDonalds at $4.. something an hour, i had to check it with her.

Almost choked on the burger i didn't buy.

Many get around the minimum wage, of course, but our higher minimum sure
gives more solid base security to many millions of lowest paid employees.

Thanks for the link. I know many things, e.g. cigarettes, food
probably, are cheaper there, but it's all all about balance.

Stronger unions do provide some of that.
