Sure, it was "and partners", but otoh it was only for the last 4 years of the decade. So if spending over the decade was about flat, then Intel being even 40-45% of the "Intel and partners" total would hit the $10B figure.

Does that seem that unreasonable? Is the Intel portion likely to be much smaller? Or spending likely to have been much less from 2000-2005 than from 2006-2009?

I guess you could argue Intel wanted to inflate the figures in that PR.

How much money do you think Intel alone spent on IPF from 2000-2009?

Edit. I see in your other post you suggest $2B for those 4 years. So maybe $5B for the decade, rather than $10B?

Edit, I see the timeframe was a dozen years, presumably "since inception", not 10. Was there a substantial difference over time? More earlier on? or less? If about the same, we're around $6B, total?

You think IA64 is successful. We have ended up with HP as the only customer. Seems pretty lame to me.

Nehalem-EX is just superior to that boondoggle.
