Good find but in fairness, it's not clear how much of that $10 was Intel's. Probably a substantial portion but still unclear.
HP has publically stated that $5B of that $10B was from its investment in Integrity and NSK development. Of the $5B left several billion was in the form of product development by the other six IPF OEMs. Then there is the spending by the major enterprise software ISVs. Intel's contribution is likely on the order of $2B over 5 years which is about what would expect for overlapping product development by two IPF MPU design teams.
