Hi Seabeewife,
The way I read Mayhem's CRTC filing, Fight Media is a newly-created entity designed to receive TFN's assets so in effect, Mayhem is top dog with TFN and Fight Media as separate subsidiaries (Later on it talks about Fight Holdings being the partent company of Fight Media, but Fight Holdings is subsidiary to Mayhem....) The agreement was with Mayhem, so I don't think Fight Media is involved except that the Mayhem boys are trying to skip a CRTC step by transferring the broadcasting rights directly into Fight Media instead of Mayhem. (I would have also thought the lawyers would catch that if necessary -- they have been pretty thorough.)
From the CRTC filing:
TFN Inc. (the current licensee) is wholly-owned and controlled by TFN Global Inc. (TFN Global), which in turn is controlled by Mayhem Media Corp. (Mayhem). Mayhem is a corporation owned and controlled by Mr. Edwin Nordholm and Mr. Loudon Owen (each holding 50% of the voting interest).
If they think a Fight Channel is good enough to own and run by themselves, exactly why do they want to close down TFN??? TO GET RID OF THE OTHER SHAREHOLDERS!!! IMO it was part of the plan since Sandy sold us out to them.
