I agree the article doesn't have much merit. I did a search on the Nasdaq site and on google and I couldn't find anything to support the info from that article. It would be nice if it were true but at this point it appears unconfirmed.
Oh well, it would be nice if they would create a new secure clearing option that could thwart NSS. I just don't think Wallstreet will allow that anytime soon if ever. If all the BDs and MMs had to cover all the NSS out there it would most likely kill the markets (that is if they didn't pull some BS grandfather crap for existing NSS shares like they did for the FTDs when they created the regsho).
