-- Regarding the Senate hearings with WaMu management, I agree that unfortunately it will be at least somewhat of a witch hunt.

Our only hope, is that for every question, they say something like, well, we did have some bad loans, etc, but were still in relatively good financial shape until the government and JPM interfered. If enough people say that, than hopefully someone in the media will pick up on it and want to be that eager beaver reporter to blow the cover off the greatest financial scandal of our time.

I tend to agree with you about the senate hearing unfortunate as it may be. The hearings should center around the travesty of taking down the largest saving and loan in the USA by the government and a private entity rather that selecting a few upper management types and raking them over the coals for doing exactly what hundreds of other banks perpetrated as far as bad loand are concerned. If would be nice if that Cantrell fro Washington State was on the committee and would subpoena the real culprits to testify to some real pertinent questions regarding the taking of WAMU.
