XBox clusters have been around for at least a year. Colsa is interesting - 1600 dualie XServes for $5.8M is the first concrete indication we have of just how heavily Apple is subsidizing these (rare) G5 clusters. if Apple would give me discounts like that, i'd happily build my clusters out of G5s, too. :)
IIRC, the V Tech cluster was made of ~1100 PowerMacs (later XServes)and does (IIRC) around 14 teraflops (or less). This one is going to be 1,566, and (they say) capable of 25 teraflops.
I wonder where this one will come in on the supercomputer list?
