Yeah, we are getting some cold the next few days. Checking the jet stream it's coming due south down through the midwest. Let's see what Bismarck is up to. Hm, jet stream must be east of Bismarck. 12 degrees tonight, with normal lows 3.8. Wow, everyday this week will be in the 40's, and the lows other than tonight will be higher than the normal day highs of 24.9. Looking at the last 48 hours, WOW again, 54 yesterday, and only made it down to 22. Front must have come through, dropped 10 degrees in the last two hours to 19. So not much cold in Bismarck.
Minneapolis is 10 degrees tonight which is normal. Rest of the week looks to be 5-15 above normal with the nightly lows being around the normal daily highs of 25ish. So it's running above normal.
Snowmen seen returning from Canada to Albany. 12 degrees tomorrow night with normal 18ish. Other than that the rest of the week looks to be normal to about +5.
It's already getting warmer here in Atlanta before the cold gets here. <g> Now only 28 instead of 27 tonight. Tomorrow 24 instead of 22. So tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday are looking about 10 degrees below normal, and by Thursday almost back to normal temps. So not too much out of the ordinary.
Spot checking a few others, DC looks totally normal in the 10 day. Wait a minute, hows it going to be warmer in Cleveland than Atlanta? 30 tonight, 29 tomorrow and 32 Wednesday versus, 28, 24, 24. I guess lake effect or something. 10 day looks to be running 5 degrees above normal. Nashville's colder the next two days and than back to normal. Hartford, Conn, is slightly colder tomorrow night, and then back to normal with daytime temps running about +5 later in the week.
I don't know where Accuweather is getting their forecasts, but so far it's not really showing up in the 10 day forecasts. A bit colder the next two days, but than back to normal to above normal. Should about equal out. So no big NG draw downs. And since the NG reports run a week behind, we won't see what effect this weeks cold had until next week. NG still way over priced for the weather we've been having and the supplies in storage.
