My road to that particular enlightenment was a little more mundane - More than 40 years ago a mechanical failure of my '58 Triumph TR3 suspension on a country road in N.Ca, while I was pretending to be Stirling Moss, resulted in massive brain injury when the car landed on top of my skull.
Fortunately for the world, thanks to my genetic heritage, I seem to have escaped the curse of baldness so it's possible for me to appear in public without frightening small children and other sensitive people.
