I thought I'd seen almost all aspects of French stupidity.... until today.
A few weeks ago they dug up the road to put in a sewer system.
When they were done, there was a manhole cover to inspect the system I guess, and a couple small covers that I imagined would eventually be used to hook up my house and the other houses to the public system.
Bunch of guys just showed up and paved over everything.
