I singled out the SYK video because it emphasizes that medical devices are a home grown US industry that offers good-paying manufacturing jobs at many small companies that reside in economically depressed “rust belt” states such as IN and MI. It’s a shame, IMO, that the healthcare bill imposes a new tax on these companies.
