i think getting into deep doodoo is the only way enough people will wake up. otherwise having the government hand out lifestyles to folks is way too easy......its a vicious cycle we have gotten ourselves into, but as simple as it may sound this is the only thing that will keep us afloat....
...STOP with the social welfare programs, we have the most generous country in the world with the wealthiest 'poor' lower class in the world.
...STOP government spending beyond what it takes in. we cant just keep spending and spending when theres no money (and soon to be no credit) to back it up.
...actually CUT (yes that means FIRE people) that work for ALL FORMS OF GOVERNMENT that run a budget in the red.
...STOP taxing the citizens so much, AND the businesses. you want to know why business goes overseas? they can make 30-50% more just on savings from LABOR TAXES, not to include all the other little taxes we have to pay. heck NY state just issued a tax for 2010, we have to PAY A TAX to get a certificate to COLLECT the MANDATORY state sales tax....EFFING HELL PEOPLE!
with all this said, doing those four things will immediately have drastic effects on our economy. sadly, it will start out by throwing us into a deep depression. why? because as soon as people realize they have a shitton more cash than they used to, they will horde it in fear that the government will come take it again. sales will drop as families try to recover from a depression...being that close to 40% of the US workforce is now in government issued jobs and close to 70% of the population collects some form of government issues social welfare it will slap people in the face very hard.
once again, we will need to learn to hunt, and fish, and farm for food. we will need to be self sustaining, and care for the elderly and sick. (not the governments job)
sigh.....need i go on? im all worked up now! haha....sigh...
