Wall, I voted for Ron Paul even though I was aware of his alleged racism in the past. I'd never seen it stated as clearly as in the article I just posted. My vote was for an end to the wars and the ever increasing power (and budget) of the military. I also believe our Federal govt. is much bigger than it should be and we are taxed outrageously for very little in return.
So, NO! I wouldn't "throw out the baby with the bathwater", as you put it. Since the Tea Party has been totally co-opted by the far right - "Beckerheads" as Stephanie so eloquently calls them. And since Dr Paul hasn't distanced himself from those crazies, I can no longer support him.
Obama has been a huge disappointment as far as I'm concerned. Escalating wars, a health care bill that benefits insurance companies more than people, stimulus measures that only stimulate the very wealthy, touting a non existent "recovery", a foreign policy dictated by Israel...What's to like?
The only good thing happening in politics these days is the Republicans are looking worse and worse and the Tea Party has totally marginalized itself.
Wish I could find something to be FOR. I far prefer positivity to negativity.
