Sherlocke, I have a fully stainless model, all components. Maybe they all come that way, I don't think so, you might check that out. Be careful when you do the initial gobbler dunk, particularly if it's wet!
**OT** Sherlock, Follow the directions on your turkey cooker especially the temperture of the cooking oil. My neighbor failed to do so and had flames shooting 10 ft. in the air and a burned black turkey. Another neighbor put it out with a fire extinguisher. LOL
