The problem I have with this is the bonds. As the value of the dollar goes down the bonds lose value. So they "borrowed" the money at a greater value than when they plan to return it. In addition to that the state that the treasury is in now, the only way to pay back the IOU's is to create more money which one again devalues the dollar. It is a lose/lose situation.

Also social security was SUPPOSED to be temporary not permanent and it should be abolished.

And for the record, my father has many health issues and is on social security now. I know abolishing social security would be very detrimental to mo mom and him but I still feel strongly it should go.
