I'm still using a 2/0 Gamakatsu and no complaints. Occasionally a hawg bends one but I can live with that.<G>

Those are great hooks but I was referring to the hawg and snook attracting benefit of the color red.

Hell, if they didn't hook more fish, I wouldn't bother with them, but I've switched hooks with other 'partners' and they started catching fish while I became more of the spectator..... a complete role reversal and the only difference was that we switched hooks.... I took his std type and he got my bleeding bait red hook. After a while, I would invariably take off the standard and go with the red.

Imo, it does make a difference.

I even put them on my cranking lures....
