From 1 day to 6 days, average probably 3. I have identified a bull trend oversold point (-1 on my OB-OS indicator) from which to launch a laddered series of long entries. The first day usually from 50-75%, second day from 80-120%, etc. over 5 days.
Sometimes the market rebounds after only one day and I get 50-75% of the NDX move. Sometimes the NDX continues downward for a few days while I painfully ladder into long positions. Ultimately I will get an "out" signal and will be profitable a high percentage of the time.
Of course the laddering process waters down the potential returns, but increases the rate of wins. I personally like to win alot and will sacrifice the potential big score.
Seems like most on this board like to go after the haymakers, loading up 200% in either direction once they see a favorable situation.
