that is also required to have a chance at a COTH which is now diminishing. a print below 1600 in all reality takes that off the table for today

Agree.

It appears that odd lot short selling (presumably by small investors, e.g. suckers like ourselves (g)) has been unusually high recently. Not a very good sign for shorts.
