The answer to this is as simple as hell. This stock will probably get halted. When it halts if you own it you are in.

If there is a share swap or something without a halt the shares are still yours and still active. They let it trade after announcing a share swap this would soar in 3 min. You sell and get your cash or hold for whenever.
