It sounds like he is S.O.L. on getting back in before the supposed settlement date. Guess I need to sit back and hope for a really really big settlement and rent him a room in my new house then. All this talk about the FDIC sitting back and watching JPC take all the heat on this one leads you to believe that it may not be a bad time to buy some put options on JPC. Would them adding all these shares to the outstanding share count really keep their stock price from declining that much through this? Any thoughts?
and yes it is true the funds have to settle and it takes days
Could someone please explain what is meant here by settled funds?
The reason I ask is I moved money from my checking account to my zecco account and the funds should be available tomorrow, I was going to use this money to buy WAMUQ but if it takes three days to settle why would I do that.
I understood and still believe if I have the shares in my account at the time of settlement that I would be entitled to the same as someone who owned from say 3 days before.
I own WAMUQ shares now and have had for a while; I see no reason for anyone but daytraders to trade WAMUQ after today if the above quote is true.
