To answer the question is $15 dollars a test normal margin. I did not get my information from the company. I simply read a statement from my wife's last bill from the gyncologist and saw that routine exams test had charges of $80, and $140 billed. So I would say and only guessing that $15 would be my cost to the distributor at a minimum. JMHO
My 50% number is right in the middle , it could be high or low. just a guess.
My answer to the IP question is. The Arrayit platform to my understanding is an open platform and can be used by anyone. My understanding of what makes the test proprietary is that Wayne State agreement licences the DNA markers which is protected IP by Wayne State to Arrayit. Arrayit runs the platform with the identified markers to get a result. This test is done in a proprietary format inside the Arrayit labs to get a result. This information is only shared between WS and ARYC Lab tech as to how they do it. The results are then shared to the dr who ordered the test. This is the secret proprietary process. For example. Th people a Coke dont know the formula. They just use the machines and liquid to make the final product.
The JH comment is just speculation and wishful thinking.
