Only thing I can think of is a couple things:

1) They don't want us to know that there is more shares than we previously been informed because of dilution which is bad

2) That there is something to be announced or forthcoming and they didn't want shareholders to panic or assume something that is not, and that could be a good thing

I have no idea other than that
