It's not a moot(sic) point. The bill cannot be extended past the agreed $787 billion without another vote. And the data so far suggests that it has indeed worked. 2,000,000 jobs have been saved or created by the Recovery Act, per the Congressional Budget Office - and half of the funds have yet to be spent this year.
Can years of bureaucrat blundered trickle up spending get our nation out of the "GREAT RECESSION" soon enough to save our economy?
You need to look at the data before you judge (start at page 5).
Government Spending is way way way too slow and wasteful and it is acute, one time stuff.
Again, save your criticisms until you've seen the data. There is extremely hard evidence that the Recovery Act has worked, and that the spending has NOT been slow or wasteful. And yes, it is one-time stuff, but the idea is for the economy to be able to run itself by the time the funds run out. And it's not a stretch to claim that it will, after seeing the data.
