I hope you are right Zeev. But with this $100 trillion lawsuit hanging over them (they could possibly lose it all AND they have no control of a courts verdict) I can possibly see them taking "some" money away from the US. I wish I knew what "some" will be equal to...

No interest return may still be better than outright confiscation. The current legal environment in the US may be such that it's highly risky to be part of a identifiable and demonizable yet rich group; be it tobacco, fast food, or Saudi . . . Not that I have any particular sympahy for any of the three, but I'm somewhat concerned about the lack of respect for private property rights.

The SA story's overblown. Most of the weak hands are already gone to Europe: http://news.ft.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=FT.com/StoryFT/FullStory&c=StoryFT&cid=102...

Has anyone considered that the Nassacre was busy pricing in things like bad outlooks, SA pullouts, bad B2Bs, etc, and that buying on bad news may work again for a bit?

[start.]
Zeev, what affect do you think this could have...
Saudi threat to withdraw billions in US investments...
[stop.]
Zeev,
Your reply to sylvester contained the following,
[start.]
"... the Saudi love their money more than their mores.
Where will they put that money to work..."
[stop.]
and i have a question, a connected two part possibility.
1.
If the people currently in power in Saudi Arabia lose control
to those very anti-United States, then what would that transfer
be describes as, as in by force with current people in control
fleeing the country with their money, or a power sharing with
the riches being divided up between them?
2.
If the above happen, and supporting the United States becomes
a policy not to be continued, and placing money into America's
stock markets is seened as helping the USA and thusly must be
withdrawned, then the where can it go be Russia and China?
