YW alien..,I would still have to in good conscience recommend that you take a few minutes and open a demo acct with Oanda.com...the demos are EXACTLY like live trading.But..if you are wanting to go for it live please use very small positions of not more than 1K..10 cents a pip....if you build a bit of profit and feel you kinda have a handle on it then you might get a bit more risky but with only your profits at stake.
The time of the day being trade is vitally important. If you trade in low liquidity conditions then good skills and good techs may do you no good at all and probably lose money as well as confidence in those times.
FOREX opens at 4 PM CST...then late afternoon Australia and New Zealand open..but dont expect much til after 6PM CST when Tokyo opens...even that might not do much for about an hour other than running stops.Next biggie to open is the biggest...London opens around 2 AM and skyrockets abound!London continues til 11AM and overlaps US market by 4 hours as US opens at 7AM.
FOREX trades 24 hours from 4PM CST sunday til 4 PM Friday but not all time frames are smart to trade in.
