I'll offer an opinion, Pat.
I suspect it's because this is such an imprecise business that we admire anyone who has the courage to stick his neck out, time after time, be right a goodly percentage of the time, and will acknowledge his mistakes when they occur. He is a rare treasure. Those who watch Zeev (for me, that's only a bit over a month), see the misses as well as the hits. Calling attention to them doesn't add much and could be classified as sour grapes.
Dr. Hed needs no defense. He's quite capable of taking care of himself. He's not averse to mentioning the times he's wrong, and he's been known to come to the defense of those who lambaste him, so I've probably got no business sticking my nose in here. However, I've learned a lot in the past month, and I appreciate the knowledge that has been imparted on this board.
I've been reading your posts as well as Zeev's, and LG, and many, many other people. You have all been major contributors. I appreciate the effort.
