If you recall, he initially said he wanted IHub to be "basher free", so he obviously wanted to create a site that was not only penny stock-friendly, but also pumper-friendly. As I've said, SI welcomed "bashers", and Matt thought he saw a market in penny stock plungers and promoters.
He was right about that.
In any case, I think he didn't find running IHub to be as profitable as he'd hoped, and looked for another way to get rich quick.
