every poster doesn't post unless they check off whether they are compensated in any form .. cash or shares .. or in kind .. money is made both ways and that should be listed out on their profile
list out previous aliases in one's profile with the time frames noted of that alias
don't let boards be over taken by *efforts* .. on either side .. limit folks to X no. of posts when things get crazy .. 15 if a paying member .. 5 if a freebie .. the ping pong matches get old real quickly
but most importantly don't allow those *numerous* dusted off id's to post .. 6 months or 6 years after their *alias* was first created .. odds are it was part of a batch done by some .. who can

I think the many scams are so successful because of the huge amount of posters that promote them, whether in subtle ways and creative innuendo, or outright boldfaced lies. I can say from my own experience as a newbie, I had no idea of the magnitude of deceit that permeates on msg boards, regardless whether a company/stock is an obvious scam to DUMP shares only. Thats what I get for trusting certain posters on a msg board. DOH!
true...but when the amount of BS flows like water, day in day out, the whole community will eventually get the spotlight when a case like this one hits the news, proving something that I believe occurs more than we can "see".
