Yes, I agree with that interpretation. The young man, who was perhaps not even aged 21 when he created the website in 2002, in less than four years, at aged 24, was using it to engage in stock manipulation and money laundering.
Matt Brown isn't the youngest among the co defendents. Apparently this Polish fellow, who is still at large, wasn't even aged 21 in December 2006.
As for the other guys, they're in their forties, and fifties. I would assume some have wives and kids, mortgages, car payments, and other outstanding debts.
None, of course, wants to serve a federal prison sentence.
In my view, the litigation is still in its early innings. The sentencing portions are still weeks, if not months, away.
