1982 was an obvious pre-new bullmarket year and the death of the bearmarket. OBVIOUS.
1987 was nothing but a blip, a computer glitch within a Bull-Market, literally a computer glitch. Automatic sell programs blew the system to bits that day, we have a multitude of new rules such that it does not happen again.
But the brief period of 7-1 P/E was a screaming BUY signal in 81-82.
This is a Bear Market, as was 1966-1982, and it will end the same way,with bear market evaluations.
So don't throw 82 nor 87 at me,please:). Max
