Thanks for the GREAT rundown on your experience w/granite. For me, it's now just a matter of color selection - thanks for all the great tips, especially the watch out for seams too close to sink.

PMS Witch.... You bring up many good points.

I work in construction and have seen many granite installations. I must say that all granite counter top companies are not created equal. Some fit the pieces to perfection and others... well, they just don't do as well.

Granite is definitely forever. The single biggest drawback, IMHO, is the limited color selection. You have to like the speckled look to warm up to cool granite.

PMS. Good to see you in print! Once again great explanation.

I was though hoping for a story in there somewhere about you and the Commander going through a long drawn out process with each other trying to win the other to which color to use.
I know, always wanting more. LOL!
