Are you selling before the PDUFA dates? Because if not, that might be part of the problem. A lot of people hold through these dates, but honestly, if you invest soon enough and sell before the date--regardless of outcome--you're likely to do just as well, if not better, as you would if you held through the decision. Because so many things can go wrong on or near these dates and very few biotechs end up being home runs.
