ROTF ... so funny. Susan, I have been wondering the same question. And as I have been mulling this over I came to the conclusion that I would ask YOU where you got that because YOU have the best information ... I have bookmarked half the sites you put up. LOL.

I use the etrade list and the briefing.com stuff due to the aide of Bale, Ico and DC at the Nas board as well.

This is part of my weekend plans is to find a better platform for keeping an eye on those stocks to who this board would be focused. And I was convinced you had the link! LOL. This is a GREAT initial topic for this board. I will do some looking today or tommorow and hopefully in the meantime somebody on the board has the best scan list.

Regardless always one of these movers off both etrade and breifing lists. They are always here for the grabbing. Bull or Bear market SOMETHING opens up unjustifiably high or low.

Also (why more detail and a bigger list is needed) it does not need to be as drastic as gap or crap that I have been referring to but also situations like "AIG up 10% on no news and indices are down about 1.5%" I would venture to guess that 80% of the time ... 5 minutes into the day ... on that type scenerio that stock will see a 5% correction granting the right PUT option a 25 or so % gain.

i don't know what the parameters for CNBC's streamer listings are, but one can generally find the largest gappers streaming by, and i'd say the advantage of that source is the built in audience/traders that are apt to add to volume/liquidity that another source may not be tapping into. i like to find those tickers that don't normally go by during the intra-day (not the focus here, i understand) that seem to be in play to watch as well. but i realize susan's question is basically source of intial information rather than somewhat delayed evidence, via aforementioned streamer.
