I thought he was too handsome to play William Canfield :)
I am sure Canfield didn't mind. In the promo's he did the grumpy/confrontational part quite well :-). The book gave the impression they didn't get along and butted heads quite a few times but Crowley seems too laid back to not get along with anyone... the makings of a good (republican) politician one day maybe sooner rather then later ;-).
