WASHINGTON, Nov 24 (Reuters) - Pharmaceutical company NitroMed Inc. (NTMD.O: Quote, Profile, Research) filed on Wednesday to sell up to 3.2 million new shares of its common stock.

The proceeds from the offering, to be underwritten by JPMorgan, Pacific Growth Equities LLC, Deutsche Bank Securities and Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., will be used for the marketing, sales, research and development of its heart drug BiDil, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission
