from my understanding an "out of sequence" trade may come in that indicates a price higher or lower than the price at which the stock is actually trading. Because this trade appears to be "out of sequence," the time at which this trade was actually placed is probably unknown and, therefore, This trade is still valid, however, so it will still appear in the Time & Sales window and be flagged as "out of sequence." basically anything can happen from MM manipulation to computer glitch..most of the time its MM manipulation if it is a single stock but since todays sequence happened over most stocks today..(3 I am in sequenced traded @ 12:23-12:25) it probably was a computer glitch with L2 servers...hope that clairifies our seq. trading problem tod
