Re: President Obama was elected effectively by the "independent minded middle" voters because he communicated that potential. But, you are who you associate with and his choice of staff, cabinent, and Czars along with no action to get us out of wars, turn back the bankster control, and concentrate on JOBS means that he is not going to make the left or the middle happy.

On choice of staff, I think there are some we might question, but Obama's been consistent in saying that he will choose the best person for the job. Other than Geithner and Bernanke, I don't think there's been a lot of controversy in Obama's appointees. But putting aside the past history that these two have done to earn so much scorn, if there is a better person for the job who could fix the situation better, who would it be? I don't think any of the critics have offered a suggestion, so why would we fire Bernanke, for example, if no one knows the treasury and has as much experience as he does? It doesn't make sense.

In terms of the wars, Obama has again been consistent from his campaign, in which he said he would exit Iraq and put more focus on Afghanistan. Of course, many of us would like to see a close of both wars, but people elected Obama in spite of that, and are only now pretending that he made a different promise during the campaign. He did not.

In terms of addressing the banking industry and jobs creation, take a look at his highest priority items for 2010. He's laid them out, and it's all about JOBS, JOBS, JOBS, as well as Banking Reform. If you support these things, you are seeing action from Obama.

Of course, Obama cannot do these things by executive order. Only Congress can legislate, and Obama has televised multiple meetings with Republicans and Democrats - with more scheduled for later this month - to address how he can get two hyper-partisan parties to work together in the Senate.

That's the bottom line. Obama's needs to spend his time untangling the quagmire in Congress. You can't have every piece of legislation end up with a Fillibuster, and fix the problem by replacing the president.

If you haven't watched some of Obama's recent addresses, you should go to whitehouse.gov, click on the videos link, and watch his addresses to Republicans and Democrats. It's in a Q&A format where the conversation is bi-directional, rather than empty words from the pulpit. In fact, here are some direct links. Take a look, and let me know if you still think he is being a sock puppet. I've already watched these, and I know it has improved my opinion of Obama tremendously. Sometimes, you need to get outside of the mainstream media, and see what's happening directly. I think these will help you to understand Obama better.
