It wouldn't suprise me at all if we got a settlement on a Friday, say before a three-day weekend and it was buried and gone by Tuesday morning. Poof. Do you really think the average Joe and Jane America would even notice WAMUQ trading at $8, $12 a share for a few days until the settlement is completed? Or the preferreds at all? Nope.
Wall Street might notice, and play it, but it would be yesterdays news quickly. I remember when Bear Sterns got upped to $13 from $2, within a few trading days it was off the radar.
When this settlement comes, I fully believe it will be squashed by all media outlets, and buried over a weekend. Do I care? Not at all, lol.
