CEO's, sports celebs, check that, celebs in general. Of course many annual incomes in this group are absurd. But I think the greatest threat is our inability to accurately understand the impossible situation we legislated ourselves into concerning funding of entitlements and pension obligations. PV and FV calculations are something we never considered. So now we are saddled with the reality that we've put our future obligations to fund entitlements we promised in direct competition with our need to fund current public spending programs....IT DOESN'T WORK.
We are at that inflection point where the reality is beginning to become apparent to more than the geek actuaries. The solution(s) aren't going to be popular.
