whoa! first of all, i've just gotten back into the stock market about a month ago. i do heavy research all on my own, and make lists of stocks to follow based on things like charts and news bits. only before, i wasn't dabbling in the penny stocks. i was more aimed at long term investments in companies worth anywhere from 1-10 bucks roughly.

and if you read what i said, the only thing i said i learned in college was to think CRITICALLY, which is a VALUABLE SKILL in life. it hasn't left me in the dust. it didn't stop me from "taking the initiative to find this stock"...i'm here aren't i? i invested all i have to invest! my entire checking account! i see you've got a college education..."mass's" i dont follow the masses, i learn from their MISTAKES.

a pessimistic attitude? its hard to determine someone's tone on the internet, ill give you that. but i thought i was clear when i said i wasn't attacking or being doubtful, i was merely trying to get all the facts that i could.

my "college" thinking prevented me from basing my decision to invest on only a small number of factors. instead, by thinking critically and examining the mistakes of others (think SITG), im trying to increase my odds by looking at a WIDER ARRAY of factors, thus helping me in making my decision.

im sorry, i just really was offended by your comment.

if anything, the "college experience" is all about learning who you are as an individual...total opposite of lacking free thought and being "too ignorant to see whats in front of you." my ability to make wise choices keeps me from being FOOLED by what may be in front of me.

you say the chart "says" .01? i dare you to tell me all the times that your chart reading "skills" or predictions left YOU in the dust. everyone thinks they're a pro at reading charts. in my opinion, its ALMOST (im using that word intentionally so i dont get crucified here) like trying to predict where lightning will strike based on where it's struck before. sure, it may lead you in the right direction, but there's more than just a chart. there's asking questions, like i've done.

Here Here kb! This guy needs to get out immediately and call Van Kampen for a mutual fund prospectus. Better yet, he should put the money in a savings account. I think this is where is investment aptitude tops out.

He's scared? Is this guy for real?
