I cashed out of some other holdings and bought right away into KATX a week ago yesterday (the Friday back) with E-trade. The settlement date of the buy order was indicated as 1/21/09, but on Thursday the funds used in the buy did not show up as again available in my purchasing power (meaning I would be able to put in a KATX sell order). I checked again yesterday and today and the funds still didn't show. I figured I would try anyways and went ahead and placed my 2mm shares with a $2.00 sell, and it took and checking my outstanding orders, they stand with the sell order in place. Any idea why the value of KATX shares was not showing up in my purchasing value $$? Shorts?
