Mesa Air Group announced that it has reached an agreement with AAR Corp. (AAR) in support of Mesa Air Group's ongoing restructuring efforts. The parties have agreed to amend certain parts and maintenance agreements supporting Mesa Air Group's CRJ200 & ERJ145 aircraft fleet and exchange Senior Convertible Notes due in 2023 (2023 Notes) held by AAR for shares of Mesa Air Group's common stock, in consideration for a cash payment and certain agreed upon future obligations. The parties have agreed to certain amendments to the parts and maintenance agreements which allow Mesa Air Group's to reduce monthly fees paid under such agreements as the number of aircraft in its CRJ200 & ERJ145 fleet is decreased. Additionally, these amendments enable Mesa Air Group to terminate the respective parts and maintenance agreements without penalty, if it disposes of an entire aircraft type.

So, they are not going to "screw" the old bondholders by cancelling the shares they just issued them ? Not a good idea. That point is HUGE. If we needed an ally we sure would have one in those shareholders. I remember now, I think they did that twice with bonds due in 2010 and then 2012? Which left them with virtually no debt. It seems like this story is getting better and better. I also read something today in an old S&P report that portends for a better 2010 for airlines that also included discount regionals. I just bought another 40K shares today. I got up late and got around to putting in an order at 3:30pm off the bid ar .0675 just out of curiosity because the offer was .068 and suprisingly got filled. I will buy more in the next couple of weeks if it dosent run to much and I sell some other Q shares. My motto today is no new money in Q shares. That could change tomorrow.
