I'm terribly outnumbered there but I don't shrink from a fight. Get that from my Dad and sometime I'd like to post about him here because I think many on this board would find his story (and mine) interesting and even inspirational.
He was one of very few Americans, actually tried for Treason in the McCarthy era. The publicity and the trial did more to shape our lives than any other event and it wasn't all good.
........Please, post about your Dad's experience here during that dark mccarthy time. It's important that these records are written down.. and Gosh knows we all need some inspiration.. ;))
I wouldn't be able to post there, the racism is blatant and also a lot of insanity IMO. I am not good at 'having' semi-long chats with people that I have absolutely nothing in common with ... I would get banned .. ;)) - It's hard for me, as in real life I haven't run into this type of person .. this is an ihub experience. I admire the posters that are able to post with this type of poster, such as yourself .. all I know how to do - is 'slap em' and maybe post a few facts IF I think they just might accept a fact, but usually I find 'just slapping them ' is about all I'm capable of.. In my experience on ihub - facts are not accepted by those types of posters.
I will be anticipating your true story about your Dad .. please tell us when you have the time ..;) .....we need this. I repeat, We need to have these true stories posted. In some ways, I fear those times are repeating themselves ........there have been several successful witch hunts this year ... scary stuff .
