That observation was from an online interview I heard several years ago. The author had written a book on GMO and as backround he first discussed the horrendously bad Aspartame animal studies that were covered up (Aspartame metabolizes to methanol and formic acid/formaldehyde, and a high percentage of the test animals died). These studies had originally kept Aspartame off the market in the 1970s, but Searle's Chairman Don Rumsfeld intervened to finally get Aspartame rammed through the FDA. Searle was then bought by Monsanto. The author also mentioned the observation that when cattle were given a feed bin of natural feed next to one of GMO feed, the cattle invariably ate the natural feed and avoided the GMO, though they will eat GMO if that's all there is.
