Again to a point. The proponents of Global Warming via their continued observation that the world is getting warmer have conditioned people to expect their local weather to in fact be warmer.
I do agree that one unusually cold period (a number ??? of years) doesn't unilaterally negate the hypothesis. But I also don't think we are capable of understanding all the underlying issues that contribute to the earth warming. Co2 maybe be a significant issue and it may be coincidence. I'm certain that 50 years from now we'll have a much better understanding.
It tells me that it's summer in the southern hemisphere, and parts of Anarctica typically experience temperatures in the 20s and 30s. The unusual part is the temperatures being experienced in Texas.
Global cooling is a more accurate way to describe what's happening...
It doesn't tell me too much really. One point on a chart isn't really a trend. I love how these guys come out citing snow storms as somehow significant. It's as if they don't know the difference between "wet" and "cold".
It's chilly up here in Connecticut too. That's normal. Next week it's supposed to warm up a bit. Of course it hit 70 in the first week of December... That's different. Go figure though.
