borntwice, if the MA plants are part of the Joint Venture with the JV having the current ownership, why would each project have a different percentage and not the same?
It's possible that LLEG may own more than 37.5% of the MA projects if Northstar energy and Novus Energy are not partial owners in both.
LLEG gets ownership through Laidlaw Biopower and Homeland Laidlaw Energy, while HRE appears to only have claim to ownership through HLE.
If Novus and Northstar (Kusche and Bravakis' companies) do not hold ownership in the MA plants, then we can expect LLEG's ownership to be 1*0.5 + 0.5*0.5*0.5 = 62.5%

Borntwice, I must say that I was anything but shocked to learn that LLEG was entitled to 37.5% of the profits in Berlin. Given that somebody else is putting up the whole $30M equity portion of the financing package, I think 37.5% is just about right. If you were risking all of the cash in a deal like this, what would you want as a return on your investment? I think I'd want 75%.
