I do believe it, SM. In the mid-to-late 80's a lot of those people got job transfers to this area when businesses closed their Texas offices. Boy, did they suffer stickershock when they got here! Many of them could not sell their Texas properties, so could not buy here. I felt sorry for them.
I saw many Realtors and speculators lose everything here later when our r.e. market crashed.
