Theoretically after T+3 the seller's agent must enforce the buy-in of these naked shorts that have artificially diluted the market, but the SEC does not seem to enforce this.

Bottom line is that with any type of buying pressure in the market (whether it be based upon news or otherwise), these naked shorties will have to cover and this should serve to further increase the rise in pps.

Time will tell, but I agree that MCLN is not the typical penny play and folks are holding longer in anticipation of positive news come 2010. This has to have the naked shorties really befuddled!!
