Wittily put, but no, Government's ownership of the FED is not a reality by practice or by law. Listen to Greenspan say it himself:
Look at the history of this nation since the creation of the FED by anyone but government and see that each and every policy put in place since has had NOTHING to do with the interest of the nation, but instead has everything to do with enlarging the money owed to the FED by the nation.
